Addiction Medicine – Downtown Community Health Centre
We provide access to methadone treatment programs for adults with opiate addiction who live in Vancouver. Offers clinical assessment, counselling, specialized treatment planning, aftercare, and follow-up. Employs a diverse range of interventions to address medical, psychological, social, and emotional concerns.
Addiction Medicine/Services – Pender Community Health Centre
We provide access to methadone treatment programs for adults with opiate addiction who live in Vancouver. Employs a diverse range of interventions to address medical, psychological, social, and emotional concerns.
Addiction Medicine – Raven Song Mental Health Substance Use Team
We offer services to people living in Vancouver struggling with problematic substances including but not limited to alcohol and opioids. Using a harm reduction evidence based model, we provide clinical assessments, consults, treatment planning and after care.
We employ a diverse range of interventions such as opiate agonist therapy (Methadone, Suboxone and Morphine), anti-craving medication for alcohol dependence and Narcan (Naloxone) training to reverse opiate overdose.
Addiction Medicine – South Mental Health and Substance Use Team
We serve youth and adult clients in the areas of opioid replacement therapy and withdrawal management, including but not limited to medical consultation, prescription of methadone/suboxone and planned tapering of addictive substances.
A nurse and physician work together to provide shared care. Services are no cost.
Harm reduction (including naloxone training and dispensing), acupuncture, SMART recovery, addictions counselling, access to mental health support, and access to rehabilitation (occupational therapy, recreation therapy, employment counselling, peer support) are also available on site.
Addiction Services – Downtown Community Health Centre
We provide adults living in Vancouver access to addiction counselling. We assess client needs and recommends appropriate treatment regarding substance misuse. We work with the addictions team to monitor client needs and progress and helps develop an appropriate individual care plan.
The concurrent disorders counsellors provide consultation and works collaboratively with other counsellors, health care professionals and the client and client’s family in the identification and resolution of client/family care issues, cultural and language barriers, ethical dilemmas and coordination and integration of care, and makes referrals to other service providers as appropriate. Supports clients enrolled in a methadone maintenance program.

Adult Withdrawal Management Services (Detox) – Harbour Light
Detoxification unit for adults 19 years and over, located in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. Nursing care and physician support provide a safe, supportive environment for individuals who are experiencing acute withdrawal from substances. Offers referrals to follow-up treatment. Serves North Shore, Richmond, Sunshine Coast, and Vancouver.
Anne Vogel Clinic – Richmond
The Anne Vogel Substance Use / Primary Care Clinic provides medical care and social supports to individuals who are living with opioid use disorder in Richmond.
We are an inter-disciplinary team that provides a variety of evidence-based medical treatments for opioid misuse disorder.
We offer a welcoming, non-judgemental environment, and are happy to meet with people who are actively using illicit substances in order to discuss options for reducing their risk. There are many new medications beyond methadone which are now available by prescription. Our clinic also distributes Take Home Naloxone kits and other safer-use supplies at no cost. Clients are welcome to walk in or call for more information.

Daytox
Daytox is a six-week outpatient withdrawal management program for adults 19 years and older living in Vancouver.
Tailored for more stable clients who have a safe, supportive living environment, the program provides medically monitored withdrawal services, assessment, individual and group counselling, psychoeducational groups, acupuncture and other alternate therapies, as well as medical management for clients on supervised prescription withdrawal protocols.
The program team also makes referrals to local community health centres for addiction counselling and methadone services. Staff are culturally diverse and sensitive to LGBT issues. Open seven days a week with some extended hours.
